Like most high schoolers, the main reason I got involved in school activities was for the fun and social interaction. But I'll be darned if I didn't slip up and learn a thing or two about managing time, people and projects while decorating floats and participating in school fundraisers. Sadly, the Arts (we'll talk specifically about Arts in another blog) Clubs and other school activites are often the first thing cut from school budgets during economic down turns. Success stories are a program's best advocate. Please take a minute to tell how you benefited from being involved in Drama Club, Junior Classical League, and/or other school activity.
